ONE PIECE FILM: RED CELEBRATES RECORD-BREAKING RELEASE WITH LONDON LANDMARKS TAKEOVER

The cast of One Piece Film: Red to be projected onto iconic London locations on 26 November to celebrate over £800K at UK Box Office

Glasgow, UK, 25 November 2022 - Anime Limited and Toei Animation are excited to announce that the world-famous Straw Hat Pirates will be taking over London with video projections opposite the iconic London Eye and other key locations to celebrate the record-breaking release of One Piece Film: Red, which has earned over £800,000 since it opened in cinemas nationwide earlier this month. This achievement makes One Piece Film: Red the highest-grossing film in the long-running franchise, and affirms the series' continued popularity in the UK & Ireland.

The takeover will be projected onto the County Hall of London, opposite the London Eye on Saturday 26th November between 18:00 - 23:00, as well as other locations across London. The projection will celebrate the history of One Piece with images of the Straw Hat Pirates crew and memorable scenes from the original anime to amplify the pirate crew's new adventure. This takeover is the latest in an unprecedented marketing campaign for an anime film, following a giant replica of the protagonist's iconic Straw Hat that welcomed visitors to King's Cross Station on the weekend of the film's 4th November release.

One Piece Film: Red is the latest feature film based on characters from the best-selling Weekly Shonen JUMP manga series about a crew of pirates sailing the seas in search of a legendary treasure. The series' original creator Eiichiro Oda is overseeing the project as Executive Producer, and also designed the original characters for this brand-new story, including Uta, the most beloved singer in the world - and the daughter of Shanks , the legendary pirate who inspired the series' protagonist Monkey D. Luffy.

Synopsis:
Uta - the most beloved singer in the world. Renowned for concealing her own identity when performing, her voice has come to be described as "otherworldly." Now, for the first time ever, Uta will reveal herself to the world at a live concert. As the venue fills with all kinds of Uta fans - excited pirates, the Navy watching closely, and the Straw Hats led by Luffy who simply came to enjoy her sonorous performance - the voice that the whole world has been waiting for is about to resound. The story begins with the shocking fact that she is Shanks' daughter.
