HYPER JAPAN, the UK's biggest celebration of Japanese culture, cuisine and entertainment, has announced
the first few artists who will be performing at this summer's HYPER JAPAN Festival.
Pop group Dempagumi.inc will headline in our HYPER Live area on Sunday 12th July.
The group's six female members launched their singing careers recently in Tokyo's Akihabara district, and already boast a huge international following as well as
several Top 10 singles in Japan's music charts. In addition to their live concert on Sunday, a Dempagumi.inc-themed art installation will be on display in our HYPER Gallery area throughout each day of the event.
J-pop and traditional music fusion act Heisei Kotohime and 'visual rock group' LOST ASH have also been confirmed to perform, with further artists to be announced over the following weeks.
Former Studio Ghibli producer Kihara Hirokatsu and one of the minds behind successful anime Inuyasha and Detective Conan Suwa Michihiko will give a series of seminars along with other celebrated experts in the Japanese anime and music industry, which will be of great interest to enthusiasts in these areas.
